A personal data tracking tool
In summer 2026, I designed and assembled a personal health data tracking application. The idea was to build a simple but robust and powerful tool to easily understand personal data surrounding things like how I am sleeping, eating, exercising, and more.
It was built using JS/React with AI assistance and is self-hosted on a personal NAS device. I set up the backend manually and used docker compose in the process.
I am able to access the app remotely using Tailscale. I went to great lengths to make sure the app is useable and looks nice on both PC and mobile.
I'm still adding more features, but soon enough I hope to make the code and instructions publicly available so that anyone else wanting to could self-host this same application.
Demo coming here soon! For now, see some pictures from the app below.
